What is MasterServe?

MasterServe is the charitable arm of LivingSun Holidays, set up as a separate charitable company with the specific aim of supporting Christian projects and Churches in the areas to which LivingSun Holidays sends tourists.

Grace Church Bodrum

This new Church has been planted by Engin Duran, one of the students we supported through Turkish Bible College.

Antalya Church

We currently support this Church by contributing a significant proportion of the pastor’s salary

Turkish Youth Camps

A $5000 gift helped to enable this years Children’s camp to go ahead. This camp has been a nurturing ground for several Turkish Church leaders so is a particularly strategic project to support.

Izmir Student’s Ministry

We pay the rent for meeting rooms. Christian meetings have to be held in approved Church buildings to be legal, so this is an essential cost.

Albania

Funds continue to be sent to support the work of the Church in Sarande via the Corfu Evangelical Church.

Church Persecutor Imprisoned

You may remember that two years or so ago there was a spate of harassment of Christian Churches in Turkey. Primarily this was driven by some extreme sections of the Turkish media, especially one TV News show in Ankara. Church leaders would find TV crews barging into their services, filming everyone there and broadcasting stories about Christians brainwashing Turks into converting from Islam. Several Churches suspended regular meetings and reverted to ‘underground’ mode in response.
 Turkey’s secular constitution however has triumphed as Kerim Akbas, the producer and presenter of the TV show has been convicted of illegal harassment of Christians and sentenced to two years in prison.

You can give to MasterServe in various ways. We can accept ordinary cheques. We can also accept donations via agencies such as the Charities Aid Foundation, and we can reclaim tax at 28p in the pound via Gift Aid scheme from donors who sign a simple declaration that they are UK tax payers.
