LivingSun Holidays is a new and dynamic Christian holiday company. Our aim is to minister to God’s people by providing excellent holidays with a strong Christian presence at the heart. We want God to be at the centre of our holidays changing people’s lives in a profound and positive way.

 

The company is growing rapidly and now has some very significant opportunities ahead, so we need new people to generate ideas, create products and markets and deliver the vision for the benefit of God’s kingdom on earth.

 

Christian holidays have traditionally been seen as a little apart from the rest of the world – exclusive hotels where Christian standards can be maintained and with no disruption from noisy non-Christian neighbours. While we don’t deny that there is still a need and a purpose for holidays like that, we want to create a new type of Christian holiday with a strong and positive Christian presence which welcome and appeal to non-Christians as well.

 

Because the marketing methods to reach a specifically Christian public are not the same as reaching secular markets we believe that in practice this means we would have more than one holiday brand, but selling the same accommodation, facilities and service.

Each brand would each have its own identity and we would need to take care that each can operate successfully. There would be times when it would be inappropriate to mix the two brands in one accommodation unit. Generally though we believe that Christian holiday guests can be more effective salt and light in the world when mixed into the world.

 

Think of the benefits:
• Christian holidays would lose that exclusive ‘holy huddle’ image
• Non-Christians could meet Christian guests and staff in a non-threatening holiday environment with all the opportunities for witness and expressing God’s love in practice that would bring
• May be opportunities for Alpha Course type holidays
• Greater economies of scale would bring lower prices

Turning this vision into practice is the task of the team we need for the following holiday products:
• Summer beach clubs – sailing and windsurfing
• Ski hotels and chalets – including weekend breaks and other short breaks
• Wintersun holidays
• Tours and cruises
• Short breaks – UK and Europe

 

There’s plenty of room for your own ideas too – bring your creativity. Very shortly the company will have full ATOL facilities, ABTA membership, excellent on-line booking technology and accounts will all major suppliers and booking engines - all the foundations for creating a very effective travel business.
